Schizophrenia is a brain illness that affects one percent of the people all over the world. The persons can be young or older, women or men, it doesn't matter. It's diagnosis can be more difficult than it might seem because the symptoms of schizophrenia can be similar at times to other major brain disorders such as bipolar disorder or even major depression. Schizophrenia is characterized by a disruption in cognition and emotion, affecting the most fundamental human attributes.

Welcome to the launch of my newest mental health blog
I just want to take the opportunity to thank you for visiting my newest mental health blog on Schizophrenia and available treatments. While I have not been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and I am not a doctor, I have been diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). So I will be posting from the perspective of a person suffering from mental disorders with an interest in other disorders such as Schizophrenia.
